Hi Stanley. For your plan I had to go back to our text examples (which I don't fully understand..lol) and see what I could suggest. The bones of your plan are great. The only suggestion I could have is for the transfer section which deals with why they need to know the pythagorean theorem. Maybe the students could design a situation in where the pythagorean theorem would be applicable.
Hello Stanley. You did a great job at developing a clear focus. My suggestion is similar to Sarah's, make sure to incorporate the importance of knowing the Pythagorean theorem in the real world. You have it embedded in the essential question, but it is not what is being transferred.
Hi Stanley, I like your Stage 1 draft so far. One suggestion I’d like to make is on the left part of the Acquisition. I think you can include a couple of skills needed for the Pythagorean Theorem. Also, on the first part of the essential questions, you might want to ask questions that keep the discussions going instead of direct answers. Just a thought. Good start on your unit.
