  1. Love the title! I think that your project allows for you to incorporate many technological resources. Maybe you can also have students be more creative by incorporating videos and/or podcast to describe their foods. I am thinking that their needs to be more description on how math and food are relating in your GLP, Maybe steps on specific mathematical requirements. I don't quite understand how they will incorporate both topics into the learning. What kind of training will you provide online? Would it be math tutorials, or step-by-step instructions?

  2. Stanley your GLP sounds really fun and I would love to have my students join in! The introduction of yourself is a good piece to have so that teachers know where you are coming from. You definitely talked about the who (6th-12th graders), when (Sept.-Dec.14), and the how (skills for internet, word processor, and knowing digital citizenship). I think that what you should focus on now is the real nuts and bolts of your project. Prof Laura suggested to me that you write the content in present day form as if someone was reading the website at the moment. Another suggestion would be to include your directions for students/teachers as Marina stated above. You should keep in mind your audience as well, are teachers using your website or students too? The snack theme will definitely keep the attention of many teens, and so will a project to complete at the end! Lastly, will the students be engaging in any live collaboration and where will they share the data that they collect from the snack geometry. Overall your idea is superb! Excited to see the progress!!

  3. At first glance the sections need headers for me to feel like I am not reading a paper but scanning for information. I know this is just the text but it needs some subheadings to break it up.

In your “Who” section I see that you chose the phrases “Secondary Students”, “Middle” and “High School” students, and grades 6-12. These terms may not apply globally so perhaps simply putting the ages of students would be best.

In the third paragraph can you clarify if ALL students need internet and computer access at the same time or will a classroom with one computer suffice?

The fourth paragraph that describes the timeframe and use of online blog needs a bit more detail for my preference. When you say it “will continue in an annual basis”, what does that phrase mean? Does that mean each September to December every year? I know that literally is what that phrase means but I guess I wanted to clarify if that’s what you actually meant. You also mentioned forums or blogging but did not specify where that was going to be so it’s a bit confusing to me.

Overall comments would be to eliminate the future tense with such phrases as “will do” or “will exchange” in favor or present tense phrases. At least that was one of the feedbacks I received from Prof. Silva. Also the actual activity of the project description is very short. Short is sometimes good but I guess I wanted more meat as to why doing this project would be meaningful to my classroom.
